Nava Lundy
Nava Lundy is a South Florida painter based in Parkland, known for romantic, heavily textured impressionist paintings with a warm golden glow. She earned B.F.A. degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 2005. Her work is in national and international private collections, as well as university and museum collections, including Yad Vashem in Jerusalem and the University of South Florida.
Lundy builds depth with layers of impasto applied by palette knife and brush, blurring the line between abstraction and impressionism. She begins every canvas with a gold wash, and hints of gold appear in nearly all her paintings, which are often described as luminous and dreamlike. Before she starts, she decides what she wants a viewer to feel, and she returns to that intention as the painting develops. Studio E Gallery in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, represents Nava Lundy.
