Portrait of Jennyfer Stratman

Jennyfer Stratman

Jennyfer Stratman is a sculptor with studios in Phoenix, Arizona, and Melbourne, Australia, known for figurative bronze sculpture that links the human body with trees and nature. Born in 1972 and raised in Phoenix, she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Art Education, specializing in sculpture, summa cum laude from Arizona State University in 1997. She began as a ceramicist until the university foundry opened the door to bronze, steel, and mixed media. She has had more than 30 solo exhibitions and more than 100 group exhibitions, and her indoor and outdoor sculptures are in collections in the United States, Australia, Canada, England, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, and Israel.

Stratman's sculpture keeps the delicacy and intimacy of her ceramic roots. She imagines trees and branches as a link between the natural world and our physical presence, focusing on the essence of the body rather than its likeness. Her work explores connections from the subatomic to the galactic and speaks to the experience of being human. Studio E Gallery in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, represents Jennyfer Stratman.
