Rick Eggert

Rick Eggert is a glass artist based in Stuart, Florida, known for his signature "Dynamic Cosmos" series of blown glass. Born in Southampton, New York, in 1974, he discovered glass on a scholarship at the Columbus College of Art and Design and earned his B.F.A. in Glass Sculpture from the Rochester Institute of Technology. After moving to South Florida in 2005, he founded the glass program at the Benzaiten Center for Creative Arts in 2014, served as Creative Director until 2018, then launched its Artist in Residence program as the first resident. The Dynamic Cosmos series won a NICHE Award in 2009 and has been exhibited across the United States, Europe, and the Middle East.

Eggert's work has been shown at the Imagine Museum and SOFA Chicago, and it is in the collections of the Regent and Seabourn cruise lines. He draws inspiration from South Florida's sunlight on water, with its shadows and reflections, and from summer lightning storms. His pieces range from hand-blown glass to frosted glass with silver leaf. Studio E Gallery in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, represents Rick Eggert.
